Currently a residing in New Delhi, India I have been a professional photographer since 1985.
In my 25 year career with News Ltd in Sydney , Melbourne and North Queensland , and New Delhi I have covered many major events occuring in the region.
My work experience covers such events as the Velvet Revolution in Prague, Papal visits and Royal tours to covering Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games for all News Ltd Australia titles.
Working as sports photographer on Australia's national daily broadsheet, The Australian Newspaper in Melbourne throughout the 1990's I have also covered a wide range of events including Australian Open Tennis, Melbourne Cup Horse racing carnivals, Australian Football , Formula One racing and the Australian Cricket season and major golf.
In the early 2001 I moved to Far North Queensland specialising in environmental and indigenous issues for The Australian before returning to Sydney in late 2004 to work as a general news photographer.
After covering the Australian cricket team tour to India in late 2008 I decided that is where the future lay.
In January 2009 I moved to India with my wife and fellow correspondent to take up the challenge of a posting in the South Asia region and further pursue my love of photography and travel.
Since moving to the South Asia region my time has been divided up between covering India, Pakistan , Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka for a wide variety of assignments.
I am currently Asian Geo Magazine's Photographer of the Year s well as picking up awards in the National Press Photographers Association of America awards and the Thai Foreign Correspondents Club Feature Photography award. I also won first prize in the Prix de la Photographie PX3 awards in June of 2010
